TAKING CARE OF YOUR YOUNGEST

In our Infant program, there are three primary educators. Our objectives are to assist infants in developing at their own rate in a safe, nurturing, supportive, and respectful environment.  We provide a loving, nurturing, and trusting environment. We encourage expressions of emotion (especially smiles!)

The bond that infants form with caregivers at this early age helps to prepare them for positive social interaction with their peers as they develop.

Respect is the main key in our infant room. We believe that infants learn best when they are allowed to move freely, "to do what they can do". We encourage milestones, such as rolling over, sitting up, crawling, pulling up to a standing position, walking, and feeding themselves.

In our Toddler program our mission is to provide a quality learning environment focusing on total well-being and providing mutual trust and respect.

The program is based upon a "LEARNING THROUGH PLAY" philosophy. We provide hands-on activities that allow children to explore inquire and discover solutions first-hand. We work to provide a balance between large group, small group and individual activities between active and quiet activities; and between free play and structured activities. We strongly encourage a gradual entry into the program to ensure your child and educators build a secure relationship. This allows for your child to form an attachment to the educators and understand the daily program, and routine.

Our goal is for your toddler to mature into a preschooler; ready, willing, and able to take the next step toward positive and healthy development.

FUN ACTIVITIES FOR GROWING KIDS

In our Preschool room, we believe it is important to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment which accommodates the needs of each child individually and as a member of the group. Children are given a variety of ways to work and play together, they are ready to learn many new concepts including colors, shapes, numbers size, position, patterning, sequencing, vocabulary, and listening skills.

Our program offers an appropriate balance of "learning through play" and kindergarten readiness to ensure that children are engaged in challenging play that will prepare them for future learning.

Each learning centre engages the child's core components of development: socio-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical.

LET'S EXPLORE

Our programs are designed to meet the needs of each child, and our staff work hard to create a program that is stimulating and develops skills needed based on the ELECT learning program. We focus on certain domains each week, creating activities to reach goals put in place. While children in attendance are having fun with their peers, and engaging in our programmed activities, they are having fun too!

Our programs focus on the following areas, both inside and outside: social and emotional, fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, and creative. We plan our activities around these domains, creating a stimulating and fun environment for your child(ren).

Communication is key, and we implement positive communication with the children, with the parents and amongst all staff. Communication logs are kept in each program to make sure we are understanding all requests, idea’s, concerns, or any other additional information that may be provided to meet the needs of your child(ren).

Meals

We offer a nutritious fresh hot lunch and two snacks per day according to the Canadian Food Guide. In order to offer a wide variety of meals, the menus are on a weekly rotation.
